Valentina Yaman

Senior Advisor

Valentina Yaman has been a strategist, serial entrepreneur, and executive performance coach for the last 15 years. On a mission to promote economic sovereignty for indigenous communities and the betterment of individual performance, she has created, launched, and lead over a dozen social enterprises and organizations. She currently works as a strategist and senior advisor in Jumpscale and has her own coaching practice. Prior she served as a strategist in the UTU Fund, started the first farmers-to-table online floral market, and served as the youngest board member in Fairtrade International Floral Industry. As a healthcare professional, she combines her Vedic background with her master's on transpersonal psychology and human potential. She has been coaching very successful C-Suite executives, as well as coaching some of the poorest farmers in the highlands of Ecuador, for over a decade.

Valentina received her formal business education at Bentley University and graduated with a degree in Managerial Economics. She then studied Transpersonal & Human Potential Psychology and Business Strategy. She’s furthered her studies in oriental practices such as Meditation, Ayurveda, and Yoga.

She currently works as a Senior Advisor for Jumpscale- a well-being and impact fund incubating resilient circles for indigenous-led businesses and strategizing for organizations working with an environmental and social focus. She also serves as a Founding Partner in the UTU Social Impact Investment Fund, which supports long-term sustainable investments in community development that are affected by extractive industries. For the past fifteen years, she has been coaching leaders around the world, looking to create the most impact-focused organizations and resilient environments.

Before moving to the United States, she served as the CEO of Roses & Roses and focused her efforts on increasing the well-being of the farm’s employees, providing educational opportunities, nutrition and health services, microloans, and business support to almost 500 farmers and their communities, the majority of whom were indigenous women.

Valentina has also served as a sales manager for Google Nubis Partner, and as Founder and CEO of BeMyRose, an e-commerce platform for flowers designed to enable artisanal flower farmers to sell directly to customers. She co-founded and was the CEO of Thingadoo, an event platform connecting communities. She was the youngest woman to serve on the board of Ecuador’s Flower Union and International Fairtrade in the region. She has served as a board member in various arts organizations. She has worked with local indigenous leaders to support food sovereignty in communities around Ecuador.
